Aliana Moore asked:
New York and Miami are two of the most popular cities in the United States. New York is known for many things. Among them: its bright lights and being the city that never sleeps. Miami is known for its amazing beaches and for being the city of the beautiful people. It has definitely been deemed a party city. Both of these cities are great places to live in. But what are the pros and cons of living in theses cities?
New York is a city that offers a world of opportunities. It is definitely one of the most unique cities in America. People come to New York with many hopes and dreams. Some people aspire to be an entertainer and see the city as an opportunity to make it happen. Others come for the excitement. When coming from a small town, then all of a sudden being in a place like New York, it can take your breath away. There’s just so much to do, yet so little time. However, living in the city does come with it’s setbacks. Sure it is exciting and fun but there are some inconveniences. One of these is traffic. No matter where you go in New York City for the most part, traffic will be a problem. Some people just cannot live without their cars regardless of the fact that public transportation is available. For those of you who love your cars giving it up for public transportation will at some point become a decision that you must think about. Another drawback is the crime. Naturally in a city that big, crime is inevitable. One must always be on the lookout and know how to protect themselves in the event they are a victim of a crime.
Miami is known for its beautiful beaches and palm trees. It is also a city that offers a lot of opportunities in fields such as entertainment and business. One of the pros of living in Miami is of course the year long beautiful weather. Everyday can be a day at the beach. Although it does get a bit cool in the winter it doesn’t come close to being as cold as places like New York. Another Pro to living in Miami is the party scene. Whether you are young or old, if you want to party, There’s a spot in Miami for you. There are also some cons to living in Miami. In recent years violent crime in Miami has more than doubled and has continued to rise. Some areas have become so dangerous that residents are afraid to leave the house. The Miami Police Department responds to several homicides every single day.

Today Miami International Airport is just as popular as it has always been. In this article we will look at the various types of Miami Airport Parking that is available to those who wish to use the airport. For many taking cruises this is the ideal place to arrive.
Miami International Airport has two long term parking facilities which are also used for short term parking as well and these are multi level garages. The long term parking facilities at this airport are known as Dolphin and Flamingo Garage. Below are provided the rates that you would expect to pay to use these facilities both long and short term. Both of these parking facilities are connected to the terminal building by moving sidewalks and are located on the third level of each garage.
1. Long Term Rates
$4.00 for the first hour or any part thereof. $4.00 for the second hour or any part thereof. $2.00 for the third hour or any part thereof. $2.00 for the fourth hour or any part thereof. $3.00 for the fifth hour or any part thereof up to a maximum of $15.00 per day.
2. Short Term Premium Rates: $2.50 per 1/2 hour or a portion thereof and you can use it up to a maximum of $30.00 per day.
However, Miami International Airport also offers economy park and ride services as well. This is available to travellers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and the cost to use this service is $8.00 per day. It should however be noted that unlike the Dolphin and Flamingo Garages this parking service does not provide cover for your vehicles (they are out in the open). But there is a shuttle bus service provided which runs to and from the terminal at MIA airport every 10 minutes.
3. Disabled Parking – Designated parking is situated close to the moving sidewalks on the third level of the Dolphin and Flamingo garages, but they also have additional disabled permit parking for those with wheelchairs on the ground level at the eastern most section of Dolphin Garage.
4. Over Height Vehicles -If you happen to be someone with an over height vehicle then you may use the high vehicle surface lot parking area which is adjacent to the east side of the Flamingo Garage at Miami International Airport.
As you can see from above there are a number of Miami Airport Parking facilities available for you to use when you fly out of the airport for your travels. There are also nearby parking facilities in the area that will shuttle you to MIA airport.
